Meet ZACCHAEUS

Zac was very unpopular - the people did not like Zacchaeus.
But Zac really wante dto meet Jesus
He made a really BIG effort to see Jesus.

And when Jesus saw him and went to his house
ZACCHAEUS had a BIG change of heart
And was very very sorry for all the bad things that he had done.

Jesus said that because of his change of heart - SALVATION had come to Zacs house!!!!

But the other people who saw who Jesus chose to spend time, with were shocked.

Why would Jesus go to a bad mans home!

Jesus told them….HE said that He had come to earth
to seek (that means look)
and save the lost.

You see until we have a relationship with Jesus, we are lost too.
But Jesus looks for us and wants to save us.

We must be like Zacchaeus and LOOK for Jesus
and be sorry if we do wrongs things

God made us
The first human beings that God made were
ADAM & EVE

JOHAN IS ANGRY
BECAUSE GOD FORGIVES NIVEVEH

Then Jonah gets angry about a
WORM eating a vine that was giving him shade!

Jonah had to learn that God is in control.
God can make a vine grow.
He can send a worm to kill the vine.
And He can forgive who He wants

Dear Lord
Thank you for forgiving us of all the wrong things that we do.
Please soften our hearts so that we forgive other people.

Jesus told Nicodemus
that he had to be BORN again to be SAVED

Let’s meet NICODEMUS

Nicodemus lived in Jerusalem
He was one of the Jewish leaders - a PHARISEE
The pharisees did not think that Jesus was the SAVIOR of the world
But NICODEMUS was different ……

Nicodemus came to talk to Jesus at night, probably because as a pharisee he wasn’t supposed to be talking to Jesus

He told Jesus that he could SEE that Jesus was from God because of all the miracles Jesus was doing (healing people and other miraculous thing like multiplying food etc)
BUT JESUS TOLD HIM THAT HE COULD NOT SEE HIS KINGDOM
Jesus told him that YOU HAVE TO BE BORN AGAIN to SEE GOD’S KINGDOM

This confused Nicodemus - he thought that he had to go back into his moms tummy!
But Jesus said NO
You need to be born again by BELIEVING in Jesus
That will change your heart and you will be a new person

Elijah then got up and walked for

There he met the Lord

David is hiding in a CAVE near the rocks of the wild goats

Saul needs the loo and goes into the same cave where David is hiding!!

David’s men encourage him to take revenge on Saul
DAVID CUTS OFF SAUL’s ROBE
But then feels bad and runs out behind Saul

Last week you learnt that King Saul’s son -
Jonathan was BEST FRIENDS with David

Today you will hear that Saul’s youngest daughter,
Michal was in love with David
And David married her

BUT JEALOUS KING SAUL ACTUALLY WANTED TO TRAP DAVID!
Saul said David could marry her if he killed 100 Philistines!!!
HOPING DAVID WOULD DIE IN THE BATTLE!

King Saul knew that the LORD was with David and this made him afraid
Because the LORD was no longer with Saul
BECAUSE SAUL did NOT have a heart for the Lord
Saul disobeyed the LORD

DAVID and JONATHAN had HEARTS for the Lord

So when trouble was coming for David at home
Michal warned David
and helped him escape out the window
before King Saul’s men came
When they arrived she told them that David was SICK IN BED

She tricked them buy putting a statue in the bed
with some goats hair
to make it look like David

SO DAVID ESCAPED and went to SAMUEL the PROPHET

David has GIGANTIC faith

trusted & obeyed
the Lord with all his heart

David looked after sheep
He loved them and protected them from wild animals
David protected the sheep from
LIONS and BEARS!!!

David loved the Lord and feared the Lord
And when he heard Goliath the Philistine giant
say bad things about the Lord
HE GOT CROSS that Goliath said bad things
So he decided to take on the big scary giant!

David took 5 stones to a sword fight
He didn’t fight the giant with a sword or spear
He fought with the Lord on his side and 5 stones and a sling

And the shepherd boy WON the battle
He told King Saul that the Lord rescued him from
bears and lions
and that the Lord would rescue him
from the giant too!

We must have gigantic faith in Jesus like David
