Who are Family Church?

Family Church is non-denominational, we are not a building, we are the people of God, under the authority of Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, the Church is built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, and has Jesus Christ as it’s Cornerstone. The Church exists to love and worship God, and to love others so that they can know, love and serve God too. Family Church is grounded on the two foundational Scriptures of Matthew 22:37-40 and Mathew 28:18-20, which are summed up in the statement: Love, Worship, Honour & Obey.

How does the Church do this?

In order to Love God and others, Worship God and Honour & Obey His perfect and inerrant word, the Church must do four essential things. We can see these four essentials in the early Church described in the book of acts. It’s clear that these essentials are to be practised daily (not weekly) in public and at home.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. - Acts 2:42-47 ESV

These four critical works are the walls of Family Church. They are Scripture, Prayer, Worship and Serving. Our Mission is to incorporate these four walls into every aspect of the work of Family Church, whether we are meeting online or in person. Click on any of the walls below to read more on each one.
