Prayer.
How does the Church pray?
The Church prays in faith (Matthew 21:22), sincerely, continually (Luke 18:1), fervently and according to the Scriptures (Acts 4:24-26). We pray by ourselves, in small groups, together in Worship gatherings and always in Jesus’ Name (John 14:13).
What is the purpose of Prayer?
Jesus teaches us to pray primarily for the Glory of God, the establishment of His Kingdom on earth and for His will to be done (Matthew 6:9-10).
Next, the Church prays for God to meet our daily needs so that we can know, love and serve Him.
What can Prayer do?
Scripture teaches that God hears, and acts on our prayers (1 Peter 3:12). Prayer can change our circumstances. If we are praying for God’s rule, will and Glory, and if He already knows our needs (Matthew 6:8), then it means that prayer changes those who pray. Prayer builds our relationship with God.
