John was 6 months older than Jesus
They were family
Angel Gabriel spoke to his parents before he was born!
Gabriel said he would be a nazirite
(no beer or wine)
Gabriel said that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit before he was even born!
And that he would prepare people for Jesus

How did John prepare the way for Jesus?
He told people that they needed to REPENT
Be truly sorry for all their sin and to turn away from their sin
And be baptised with water
