In today’s true Bible story
David shows mercy to King Saul

King Saul is still looking for David
Saul has 3000 men with him - his best men.

David is hiding in a CAVE near the rocks of the wild goats

Saul needs the loo and goes into the same cave where David is hiding!!

David’s men encourage him to take revenge on Saul
DAVID CUTS OFF SAUL’s ROBE
But then feels bad and runs out behind Saul

Saul feels bad and cries
He tells David that David is a better man than he is
He can see that David will be King
And asks David to be kind to his family when he becomes king
