David looked after sheep
He loved them and protected them from wild animals
David protected the sheep from
LIONS and BEARS!!!

David loved the Lord and feared the Lord
And when he heard Goliath the Philistine giant
say bad things about the Lord
HE GOT CROSS that Goliath said bad things
So he decided to take on the big scary giant!

David took 5 stones to a sword fight
He didn’t fight the giant with a sword or spear
He fought with the Lord on his side and 5 stones and a sling

And the shepherd boy WON the battle
He told King Saul that the Lord rescued him from
bears and lions
and that the Lord would rescue him
from the giant too!
