2000 years ago Jesus rode into Jersusalem on a COLT (why a donkey?) (If kings came in peace , they rode donkeys, if kings came to fight, they rode horses)
KING JESUS came in PEACE
He came to seek and to save the lost, to rescue people from their sins - He came to make a way for SALVATION HOW TO BE SAVED FROM YOUR SINS
When KING JESUS returns to earth, He is not coming in peace
Jesus will be riding a WHITE HORSE into battle
Okay - back to Palm Sunday Why did sooooo many people see Jesus arriving in Jerusalem?
Firstly - we KNOW that they KNEW WHO He was (HOSANNA IN THE HEIGHTEST) So they would also know WHO died on the cross for them
The size of the crowd also made the Pharisees NERVOUS John 12:19 NOW THEY WANTED TO KILL HIM SOONER
JESUS DYING ON PASSOVER IS GOD’S PLAN (Jesus was the ultimate sacrifical LAMB)
AS WE KNOW, THE SAME CROWD CALLED FOR HIS DEATH A WEEK LATER SO WAS THIS A TRIUMPHAL ENTRY?
