They set sail for Italy.
At Sidon Paul asks to say goodbye to friends.
Then they sail north of Cyprus to Myra.
Here they change ships.
They sail on the south side of Crete as there are strong winds.
They came to Fair Havens
Verse 10
As the trip was dangerous, Paul advised them to consider the danger
They hoped to sail to Phoenix to winter there.
But wind prevented this and they passed an island called Cauda.
They lowered a drift anchor to slow down the drift
They also started to jettison the cargo.
READ 22 - 23

After they had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss. 22 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. 23 Last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me 24 and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’ 25 So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me. 26 Nevertheless, we must run aground on some island.

Then some sailors try to escape the boat - they let down a skiff , a small rowing boat
After Paul alerted the commander - the soldiers cut the ropes to the skiff
They then eat and then start throwing grain overboard
They hit a sand bank and the ship breaks up
Soldiers now try kill prisoners
But the commander stops them as he wants to save Paul
All 276 people onbaord safley reach shore

WHAT DOES THIS TELL YOU ABOUT GOD?
Can you see that God is in control?
