Daniel is pushed into some terrible experiences and is tempted to lose his identity and forsake his purpose. God hold's onto him, and His love and purpose for Daniel don change with Daniel's circumstances. We need to learn from Daniel, that our identity in Jesus Christ doesn't change and neither does God's purpose.

2020 was supposed to be the year of perfect vision, but something else happened. It has given us a chance to ask what we are doing here, are we living our lives according to God's plan, or have we wasted our lives pursuing a goalpost which can move at any minute? How do we commit to playing our part in God's perfect plan, and how do we keep ourselves true to His Script?

An appreciation of God's patience and faith in Him is the surest path towards our own patience. Noah's patient obedience through faith is a great example for us as we trust in God's plan and purpose, and get on with the work He's given us.

The life of Joseph shows how God turns the tables and does the impossible at exactly the right time. We see in Joseph, and later in our Lord Jesus, five ways to faithfully and patiently wait for God to Turn the Tables on the struggles that we face.

David waited patiently for God to fulfil His Word, and make Him King over all Israel. The Disciples prayed the Words that the Holy Spirit gave David in Psalm 2, for encouragement and as a declaration of trust. We can draw the same hope, encouragement and directions from God's Holy Word in looking at the life of David, and God's faithfulness to him.

Moses went through some tough times. The pain, powerlessness and apparent purposelessness of his struggles may have made his waiting so much harder. But God wasted nothing and used all that time to heal and equip Moses. He can do the same with our waiting time.

Do you feel like life is in a holding pattern waiting for something to change before we can get on living. Jesus shows us how to live life to the fullest and to make the most of what we're experiencing even while we wait.
