The FINAL sacrifice (Hebrews 10:10)
1 Peter 1:18-19 For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
Before He gave up his life, Jesus cried in a loud voice, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" It was then that all the sin of the world was laid upon Jesus. The sky was dark during this time because God took His light away from the world. The light of God and the darkness of sin cannot be together. Then Jesus cried one more time, and gave up His soul. The Lamb of God had been sacrificed. The Bible says, "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) We must be very special to God. He allowed His only son to die, so that we may live.
