1 Sam 28 & 31

SAUL’s BAD PLAN

King Saul tossed and turned in his bed all night.
Why does God not answer me? he wondered. If Samuel were here, he would tell me what to do.
Before long, Saul came up with a terrible plan.
Even though he had forced witches and wizards to leave the land of Israel, he said to his servants,
“Find a woman who tells the future by talking to dead people. Perhaps she can tell me how to defeat our enemies.'
'There is a witch who lives in a cave near Endor,' said a servant.
'Let’s go and see her.' Saul’s eyes lit up. He liked the idea.
'Yes! She can talk to Samuel for me,' he said.
But God was not pleased with Saul’s plan
