The Lord tells Samuel the prophet
to fill his horn with oil and to go to BETHLEHEM
Go to the house of Jesse and the Lord will tell him which son to choose
When Samuel SAW Jesse’s strong looking son, he was sure that would be who the Lord wanted to annoint with oil.
The Lord rejected all 7 of Jesse’s sons!
Samuel was confused.
Do you have another son?
Yes, there is still the youngest,
David, but he is looking after the sheep!
Send for him. We won’t eat till he gets here.
When David arrived he was healthy looking,
he had beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance
