Acts 23

Roman’s Rescue Paul

ACTS 23:11-22
In Acts 23, the Lord uses the Roman Commander to save Paul AND Paul’s own newphew - lets read

In Acts 23, after an attempted murder plot against Paul is foiled,
Roman Commander Claudius Lysias sends Paul under heavy guard to Governor Felix in Caesarea

Paul’s newphew overhears a plan to ambush Paul and to murder him
40 Jews vow not to eat or drink until thay have succeeded
He reports this to to Paul. Paul asked a centurion to take his newphew to the commander

ACTS 23:23-35
The Roman Commander, Claudia Lysias protected Paul
by ordering
200 SOLDIERS
70 CAVALRY
200 SPEARMEN

to take Paul to Caesarea at 9 the night to Felix the governor

MEMORY VERSE
ACTS 23:11
The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said,
Take courage!
As you have testified about me in Jerusalem,
so you must also testify in Rome.

PSALM 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.

So even though Paul was been taken from prison to prison - he knew that the Lord had a plan and was in control

As Paul knew the Lord told him that he would get to Rome - he knew he was safe

(No one was going to end Paul’s life on this earth until God’s purposes for Paul’s life were complete.)
