JOSEPH in EGYPT

Abraham, Jacob, Joseph and Moses all had encounters in Egypt (some were good, some were bad).
However, God used this special place to set His people on a very specific plan for the future.
Even though Egypt was originally a place for shelter and food during hard times,
God allowed the circumstances to take a turn for the worse
so He could continue setting events in motion to reveal His perfect plan for mankind:
Salvation through Jesus Christ!

Joseph is sold by his brothers and ends up in EGYPT
Where he ends up in jail for something he never did.
But God gives him the ability to interpret dreams and he ends up working for PHAROAH
And is second in charge of all of Egypt
He forgives his brothers and his whole family moves to EGYPT

THIS IS HOW THE NATION OF ISRAEL GROWS
(something the Lord had promised Abraham)
From 70 people in Josephs family to millions

While Pharoah is alive,
Joseph and his family have favour in the land
but as time goes on they become slaves in Egypt

Until the Lord raises up Moses to save them
